ARMOR Group

 

Use this guidance to create and manage an ARMOR group:​

​​​​

• The ideal size of a group is 2-6 people.

• All members of a single group must be:

  • ​Only male or only female, but not both in the same group unless it is a group of 2 people who are married to each other as husband and wife.

  • Either layperson or clergy, but not both in the same group.

  • Local to each other to enable in-person meetings.

• Daily Meeting/Call logistics:

  • ​All group members join a daily meeting/call either with a single group call and/or with separate calls to accommodate different availability.

  • For calls with 3+ people, consider using a conference call service​​. (free conference call service is available)

  • The person who initiates the daily meeting/call is the leader and uses the daily meeting/call script.

• Weekly Meeting logistics:

  • Agree on a time and place to meet in person every week.​

  • One member agrees to lead the first meeting and uses the weekly meeting script to facilitate the meeting. At the end of each meeting, a different group member offers to lead the next meeting.

  • Organize a periodic group event for fun, food, and fellowship.

• Group chat logistics:

  • Use a group message platform (eg. GroupMe, WhatsApp, standard group text)​

  • Consider posting a reminder message...

    • Daily with the conference number to call, if applicable.

    • Weekly with the meeting time and place.

    • Periodically to plan a group event for fun, food, and fellowship.

  • Post a message to request a 1:1 to talk about a current situation that may lead to a bad habit.
