ARMOR Group

 

Use this guidance to create and manage an ARMOR group:​

​​​​

• The ideal size of a group is 2-5 people.

• A group may contain only men or only women, but not both in the same group.

• All members of a group must be local to each other to enable weekly face-to-face meetings.

• At the end of each weekly meeting, a different group member offers to lead daily calls and the meeting during the following week.

• Call logistics:

  • Agree on a time that works for all group members to join the call every day. (tip: schedule near the beginning of the day)

  • Get a free conference call service​​ (eg. FreeConferenceCall.com or similar)

  • The leader uses the call script to facilitate the call.

• Meeting logistics:

  • Agree on a time and place to meet in person every week.​ (tip: reserve a meeting space at your church)

  • The leader uses the meeting script to facilitate the meeting. 

  • Organize a periodic group event for fun, food, and fellowship.

• Group chat logistics:

  • Agree on a group message platform (eg. GroupMe, WhatsApp, standard group text)​

  • Post a reminder message daily with the conference number to call.

  • Post a reminder message weekly with the meeting time and place.

  • Post a reminder message about a periodic group event for fun, food, and fellowship.

  • Post a message to request a 1:1 to talk about a current situation that may lead to a bad habit.
