Strengthen Your Body
The Bible encourages us to "run [the race] so as to win... to win an imperishable [crown (heaven)]... do not run aimlessly... drive [your] body and train it, for fear that, after having preached to others, [you] should be disqualified" (1 Corinthians 9:24-27). The goal of this habit is to strengthen your body every day. The habit strategies and these examples will help you to strengthen your body every day, and working with an athletic trainer is recommended for guidance:
-
Walk. Start with less time as needed, then grow from there.
-
Train muscles using bodyweight, resistance bands, or weights. Start with less time as needed, then grow from there.
-
Stretch. Start with less time as needed, then grow from there.
-
Shower or bathe/plunge in cold water. Start with less time, then grow to more time.
