Perseverance is a sub-virtue of the cardinal virtue of Fortitude, and exercising perseverance is about enduring physical challenges. To do that, each of us can focus on optimizing rest, taking necessary medication, and strengthening muscles.
Practice the 3-2-1 bedtime routine:
Stop eating 3 hours before bedtime.
Stop drinking 2 hours before bedtime.
Stop looking at screens 1 hour before bedtime.
Go to bed and wake up at the same time for consistent 7-9 hours of rest.
Get out of bed immediately without snoozing the alarm.
Take medically necessary medication as directed by your physician.
Take OTC medication as needed to control allergies, etc.
Take supplements as directed by your physician to correct vitamin deficiencies.
Use bodyweight exercises to strengthen muscles anywhere.
Use resistance band exercises for better muscle pliability.
Use dumbbells, barbells, and weightlifting machines to increase muscle mass.
