First meeting is a free orientation to the coaching process.
Coaching meetings can be scheduled any day of the week based on availability.
Contact ARMOR to inquire about a coaching meeting.
ARMOR facilitates free group meetings that encourage people to grow in virtue through prayer, reading and discussion, and shared accountability.
Men's group meetings are held on Wednesdays at 6:30pm CT at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Houston, TX.
Women's group meetings are being formed.
Contact ARMOR if you'd like to join an existing group meeting or start a new men's or women's group meeting at your parish.
Hello and welcome to this meeting for ARMOR, which helps people to grow in virtue and find true peace, comfort, and happiness that come only from God.
Please help to minimize distractions by taking this time to silence your cell phone, and keep in mind that what is said here stays here.
Before we pray, let’s introduce ourselves and announce any prayer intentions. My name is _____, and I pray for _____. (Continue introductions for everyone.)
We offer up these intentions as we pray _____ (choose a prayer).
Now we'll begin the reading & discussion part of the meeting, and we'll read _____ (see readings) with each person reading a paragraph before passing to the next person. If you prefer not to read, just say "pass" when it's your turn. We'll stop reading at _____ (section, page, or time).
Who would like to start the reading?
(After finishing the reading...) Let’s take some time now to discuss briefly our thoughts on the reading, being mindful of staying on topic. Who would like to start the discussion?
(After everyone has shared...) That ends our time for sharing thoughts on the readings.
As we begin the accountability part of the meeting, keep in mind that the objective is for us to learn from each other's experiences in practicing each of the virtues during the last week. Let's stay on topic as we briefly share our experiences with practicing the same virtue, and we'll continue with each of the other virtues.
Using the Grow in Virtue page as a guide, let's briefly summarize the fruits and struggles we experienced during the last week in striving to practice the virtue of:
Faith by strengthening our relationship with God.
Hope by fortifying our emotional wellness.
Charity by strengthening our relationships with others.
Prudence by increasing our knowledge to guide the other virtues.
Justice by acting responsibly with our job & finances.
Fortitude by improving our physical wellness.
Temperance by managing our environment to grow in virtue.
(After everyone has shared on all virtues...) Thank you all for your participation. If you would like to share more or learn more about what was shared here, please follow-up with someone here after the meeting.
Before we close the meeting...
Does anyone have any announcements? (local event, next meeting, info cards, etc.)
