Help Your Neighbor
To help your neighbor (Luke 10:29-37) is to grow in virtue, which leads to true happiness. The goal is to serve others in need, and the following are examples of ways to help your neighbor every day:

Talk (and listen) with someone about exercising better habits. (DVR)

Practice Corporal works of mercy:

Feed the hungry.

Give drink to the thirsty.

Shelter the homeless.

Visit the sick.

Visit the prisoners.

Bury the dead.

Give alms to the poor.

Practice Spiritual works of mercy:

Counsel the doubtful.
-
Instruct the ignorant.

Admonish the sinner.

Comfort the sorrowful.

Forgive injuries.

Bear wrongs patiently.

Pray for the living and the dead.
