Steward Your Finances

To steward your finances (Luke 14:28-30) is to grow in virtue, which leads to true happiness. The goal is to be intentional every day with planning and tracking your finances for wise stewardship, starting with mindful spending and growing from there to understand areas for improvement and to budget use of your money. The following are examples of ways to steward your finances every day:

  • Prioritize spending on necessary things.

  • Practice delayed gratification for unnecessary things.

  • Track your actual income and expenses against your budget.

  • Use credit wisely to stay within budget, leverage rewards points, and not pay interest.

  • Budget how you will use your income to spend, save, and give wisely.
