Strengthen Your Body

 

To strengthen your body (1 Corinthians 9:24-27) is to grow in virtue, which leads to true happiness. The following are examples of ways to strengthen your body every day:

  • Walk fast. A recommended daily goal is 10,000 steps, but start small and grow from there.

  • Train muscles. Bands are great for building flexibility, and weights are great for building mass. Start small and grow from there.

  • Sleep for 7-9 hours. Optimize sleep with the same sleep-wake schedule every day that includes a pre-sleep routine of no food within 3 hours, no drinks within 2 hours, and no screen time within 1 hour of sleeping.
