Teachability

 

Teachability is a virtue of the cardinal virtue of Prudence, and growing in the virtue of teachability is about learning from others. Here are some examples of better habits you can exercise every day to grow in the virtue of teachability:

 

Read

• Read books from the Recommended Reading list.

• Read books on non-fiction topics like spirituality, history, philosophy, science, business, and finance.

• Read magazines on art, science, and history.

 

Watch

• Watch documentaries.

• Watch non-fiction movies/shows.

• Watch how-to videos.

 

Listen

• Listen more than you talk in conversations by asking open-ended questions (who/what/when/where/why/how) and by saying "tell me more".

• Listen to podcasts about science/philosophy, history/deep dives, economics/society, curiosity/trivia, and expert interviews/skill-building.

• Listen to non-fiction and classic literature audible books.
